The available options, which can also be used in a network environment, are explained below:
1. ‘Fullcolor printing using Print Server…’
Use this option if you also have an EasySIGN design license.
It’s the easiest way to transfer your design from EasySIGN to the EasySIGN Print Server.
2. ‘Windows Print…’ to a Hotfolder printer.
If you don’t have an EasySIGN design license, you can use the Print Server Hotfolder Windows printer to easily transfer your designs from any other Windows program.
There’s a Tip&Trick available here: ’Hotfolder Windows printer Tip&Trick’
3. AI-Export to a Print Server Hotfolder.
Export your design as ‘Adobe Illustrator (*.AI)’ version 6 or 7 to a Print Server Hotfolder.
The EasySIGN Print Server recognizes the following lines as Print&Cut lines:
- A. A Magenta (CMYK) hairline.
- B. A line that has been converted to a ‘Print&Cut line’ in EasySIGN.
- C. A line with the ‘CutContour’ color. You can find this color inside the SPOTCOLORS_COLORCHOICE library.

If you use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out and there are gradients in the design, EasySIGN might crash unexpectedly. This behavior is caused by a problem in the GDI+ (GDIPlus) engine provided by Microsoft.
Once you install Windows XP-SP3 or Windows Vista-SP1, this crash no longer occurs.
In general, always apply the latest updates and Service Packs provided by EasySIGN and Microsoft before opening a support case.
