No man is an island, and neither is EasySIGN. We realize that all too well, that's why EasySIGN is so extremely compatible with other software. One good example is (besides the extremely compatible export and import filters) the part of the software that is called "Compatibility".

Compatibility is a name for a group of plug-ins for all the major DTP/Design software like Illustrator™, Photoshop™, CorelDraw™, Photo-Paint™ and Freehand™. These plug-ins give you unsurpassed compatibility, thus making it very easy to transfer designs between programs without the hassle of exporting and importing.

One of the main reasons why you have already chosen to use your current software for Sign Making, could be that you are just comfortable working with it. But the software lacks Sign Making possibilities. This situation would be the perfect reason to start using Compatibility. You rather not want any steep learning curve stepping into (or expanding it further) the professional world of Sign Making. Then you will soon find out, after working with Compatibility for a while, that you do not need anything else but EasySIGN for almost all your Sign Making jobs.

 

Compatibility gives you the possibility to ease into EasySIGN without leaving behind all you have learned so far.

 

 

How does it work?

 

Compatibility is installed during the EasySIGN Setup. If you have one or more supported programs installed you can choose to disable the installation of Compatibility for those programs. But why would you? Compatibility is free and when there is a new version of your current DTP/Design software the support for this new version will be in a free Service Pack.

 

By example, Compatibility for CorelDraw™ X3

  • Start EasySIGN.
  • In EasySIGN Select the menu "File, Compatibility, CorelDraw X3 (VBA)".
  • If not already open, CorelDraw X3 will be opened.
  • In the system tray an icon will appear, this is your control center for Compatibility.

  • Create or open the worksheet you want to "Cut", "Print" or "Route".
  • Click on the icon in the system tray and select "Export to EasySIGN".

  • You worksheet is transferred to EasySIGN.
  • If necessary or desired, optimize you worksheet with the professional Sign making and Design tools of EasySIGN.
  • In EasySIGN press "Cut", "Print" or "Route"!

 

 

Turn your current DTP/Design software into Sign Making software

 

If you have wandered around the internet, you will surely know that there are dozens of plug-ins for CorelDraw™ that turn CorelDraw™ into a Sign Making software. All of these plug-ins (sometimes called add-ons) promise you a lot for little money. But if you compare these prices with professional software (like EasySIGN), you will see that they are actually very expensive.

So why do we mention this? Because if you are using CorelDraw™, you are in for an extra treat with Compatibility. When you deside to purchase any EasySIGN Design & Plot license above the Starter, you will get an extended plug-in for free (or add-on, if you prefer) that turns CorelDraw™ into a Sign Making software. The same as all those available plug-ins for CorelDraw™. Not only do you get two programs for the price of one but this will make your learning curve even easier (if it is even possible to have a learning curve below zero). And also with this extended plug-in you will find out in time, that EasySIGN has every tool you need to be in the top of the Sign Making business.

 

This of course does not rule out users of other DTP/Design software, like Illustrator™. For CorelDraw™ users we just have a little more to offer with this "Extended Compatibility". For all users of the major DTP/Design software we have basically the same to offer, no more learning curves and compatible with everything your customers can carry in.

You don't have to do anything extra to setup this Compatibility. The EasySIGN Setup software detects which DTP/Design software is installed on your system and installs the correct version of the Compatibility plug-in.

 

Compatibility is completely integrated with its host software and not hidden in some obscure menu. Compatibility is even approachable when the host application and/or EasySIGN haven't got the foreground. After starting Compatibility (right from within EasySIGN of from the Windows™ Start/Programs menu) an icon will appear in the system tray, making Compatibility directly accessible, no matter which program has the foreground.

 

 

Actually, this is not new

 

We provide this system for quite a few years now. It is already in use with tens of thousands of EasySIGN customers. Compatibility has been an appreciated part of the EasySIGN software family since EasySIGN Version 3. Until now we didn't give it much exposure because we felt (and feel) that something like this is our duty towards our end-users. But times change and now we think it is the moment that we should make this fact known to everyone, not only the end users who are already using EasySIGN.

The story doesn't end with "Compatibility", this is just the beginning. When you use the Print Server, you can for example print from any software directly to the Print Server, whether the Print Server is installed locally or on a network server.

 

You can export from EasySIGN to all the major DTP/Design software and back. Whether you prefer to use PDF, EPS, AI, or any major bitmap format.

 

A fairly unknown fact is that EasySIGN even works perfectly with 3D applications. The vector output that is so easily created in EasySIGN can be imported without any problems in any 3D application, to make rotating logos, product presentation and so on. Even the tile fills that are supplied with EasySIGN can be used in any 3D application. Rendered output with an alpha channel can be imported back into EasySIGN for further 2D composition of your Sign. So even if you don’t create 3D work yourself, you can always supply any 3D artist with everything he needs.

 

 

Do I have to buy or do anything extra?

 

No, as we’ve explained above, Compatibility is completely integrated in EasySIGN and is a free service. Only if you require the extended Compatibility for CorelDRAW™, there’s something you should keep in mind. This extend Compatibility will only be available in CorelDraw™ if you have a Design & Plot license called "Professional" or "Master". The Starter license has of course the "normal" Compatibility.
