In the dynamic market of visual communication, Mutoh Europe NV, plotter manufacturer & CAD/CAS peripheral specialist, is always looking for ways to make the end user’s life as easy as possible. That’s why they have selected Numerical Control Design BV (NCD), the manufacturer of EasySIGN sign making software to be their partner. Together, Mutoh and NCD have defined a new, entry-level cutting software, which will be bundled with the Mutoh sign cutting plotters.
Users of EasySIGN Mutoh Edition will be bundled with Mutoh's MC-1300 Marathon, SC Series, MC-S Series, MC Series and Junior Plus cutting plotters, enabling customers to take full advantage of the superior word-processing and cutting capabilities contained within NCD's flagship EasySIGN.
EasySIGN Mutoh Edition users may select one of the EasySIGN upgrade options when they contact their local Mutoh/EasySIGN reseller for additional features.
With an installed base of more than 20000 sign cutting plotters worldwide, Mutoh has gained a substantial share in today’s mid-range and high-end sign cutting plotter market. Feedback from the field has taught us that many end-users no longer settle for a standard in-the-box Windows system driver. Even new users tend to expect better in-the-box cutting solutions. This has led to our co-operation with the people from EasySIGN-NCD together with whom we have defined new in-the-box entry-level cutting software for our cutting plotters. With the introduction of the EasySIGN Mutoh Edition, we will be offering exciting in-the-box software and hardware features and more value for money, says Arthur Vanhoutte, Mutoh Europe’s General Manager.
We are very excited to be working with Mutoh to establish the EasySIGN Mutoh Edition as the new in-the-box entry-level sign making software" says Paul Schoofs, general manager at NCD. "It is already clear that Mutoh shares our vision of bringing affordable and compelling creative tools to high-end and first-time sign makers alike. With Mutoh’s quality cutting plotters and international distribution capabilities, EasySIGN will be well positioned to continue to grow through upgrading towards its existing product line that has already proven itself successful under NCD’s dealer network."

Numerical Control Design (NCD) can not give any warranty regarding the consequences and/or performances resulting out of the use of 16-bit version products under Windows 2000. The environment of Windows 2000 is significantly different from previous Windows releases and the 16bit version products were not developed for that specific Operating System.
NCD’s 16-bit version products will not function under Windows 2000 and trying to install or run these products under Windows 2000 will mainly result in error reports and there is no possibility to correct this issue. Therefore, NCD can not offer support or assistance to issues arising out of and in connection with the hereby above mentioned circumstances. If you want to maintain using the 16bit version products, NCD advises you to keep using Windows 3.11, Windows 95 or Windows 98.
Following NCD products will not function under Windows 2000 :
A) EasySIGN version 8 & version 9 (and all previous 16-bit versions);
B) MasonART, 16-bit version.
NCD recommends to contact your local dealer for information about the 32-bit version products which are developed to meet your requirements for the specific working environment of Windows 2000.
Printing limitations with EasySIGN under Windows 98.Numerical Control Design B.V. (NCD) has determined that when printing with EasySIGN KSP under Windows 98, the printing width has a limitation. The maximum width for printing under Windows 98 is 1.15 meter (One meter and 15 centimetres) with a resolution of 720 dpi (or higher). The printable length, however, has no currently known limitations. The limitation in the printing width is caused by the limited number of pixels which can be created in Windows 98 per print band. At the time of EasySIGN KSP development, no printers were available which could print with a width larger than 90 centimetres. Therefore this limitation was only discovered after large format high resolution printers with an output width larger than 90 centimetres came available.Windows 2000 does not have these limitations. Subsequently NCD recommends to use Windows 2000 in combination with EasySIGN KSP for large format printing applications.
