Add custom spot colors in EasySIGN

Create your own spot colors in EasySIGN and add them to the active color palette for repeated use in your designs and production workflows.

Spot colors are commonly used for applications such as:

• cut contours;
• white ink and white underlays;
• varnish and special inks;
• print-and-cut workflows;
• production-specific color separations.

Create a custom spot color

In File > Colors > Add Spot Color, you can quickly add a new spot color to the bottom of your active color palette.

For full control, first make sure the required color tools are visible:

1. Enable View > Color Palette.
2. Enable View > Toolbars > Colors.
3. Open the Colors toolbar.
4. Select Show User Colors.
5. Click Edit color-table.
6. Choose New Color.
7. Set the color type to Spot Color.
8. Select CMYK and enter the required color values.
9. Enter a clear and recognizable name for the spot color.
10. Move the color to the top of the list if required.

The new spot color is now added to your active color palette and is available at the bottom of the EasySIGN workspace.

You can repeat these steps to create additional production colors. For example, you can create a white spot color for white underlays in DTF printing or add a CutContour color for print-and-cut workflows.

Good to know

Always use the exact spot color name required by your printer, RIP software or production workflow. Spot color names may be case-sensitive and must often match the name configured in the receiving software.
